Treasure Logs, LLC recovers sinker pine and cypress logs that were cut in the late 1700's and early 1800's and floated down the Ouachita River in Northern Louisiana. It is estimated that about 25% of the cut logs sank while being floated to saw mills along the Ouachita River. These logs have been under water for more than 100 years and are in immaculate condition. This virgin timber ranges from 12 inches in diameter to 36 inches and up and are mostly over 16 feet in length and can be used for beams, trim, flooring, paneling, and more. Treasure Logs, LLC has recovered approximately 10,000 logs under permit from the U. S. Corp of Engineers. Our saw mill is located on the Ouachita River. Cut wood is kiln dried to a moisture content range specified by the purchaser. This process takes 6-8 weeks.
